EVM CoEye March Meeting Announcement: "Understanding the Steps to Get off the GAO High Risk List - and Stay Off!" Presented by: Robert Rovinsky, Director of IT Enterprise Services Federal Aviation Administration. EVM CoEye March Meeting Announcement The next meeting of the EVM Community of Interest (CoEye) is scheduled for 12pm to 2pm on 18 March 2009 at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). The topic for this meeting is "Understanding the Steps to Get off the GAO High Risk List - and Stay off!". By putting a significant amount of effort on improving processes and practices as well as focusing on program management, including EVM, in 2009 the FAA was able to get the air traffic control modernization program off the GAO High Risk list. Based on his personal involvement and extensive efforts in making this happen, Bob Rovinsky, Director of IT Enterprise Services in the Office of the Chief Information Officer, FAA will make this presentation. The presentation will focus on the activities and actions taken by the FAA to achieve this milestone. This should be a very interesting presentation and important to all agencies who face or could face GAO scrutiny and oversight. Although there is no cost for attendance, pre-registration is necessary to facilitate processing of attendees. PMI membership or Federal employment is not required in order to attend. Location of the March EVM CoEye Meeting The meeting will be held at the auditorium in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). OPM is located at 1900 E Street NW, Washington, DC near George Washington University. It is accessible via metro, Foggy Bottom/GWU (23rd and I St, NW) metro stop (Blue/Orange) or the Farragut West (18th and I St. NW) metro stop (Blue/Orange) will get you there. There is also public parking around the area which is within walking distance of the facility. There is a cafeteria on the same floor as the auditorium. However, OPM does not allow food into the auditorium. So plan to arrive early and eat at the cafeteria prior to the presentation. The cafeteria opens at 11 a.m. Please bring an ID, you will need to arrive 15 minutes ahead of schedule to clear security. There will be a point of contact at the Reception Desk (enter on the 19th Street Visitors entrance) to sign you in and escort you to the Auditorium.
